I, Arunthathi Manickavasagam, founded M2A Organic Beauty, committed to creating products that are transparent, comprehensive, and efficacious with Minimalist ingredients formulas that are designed to deliver exactly what they claim.
Being a skincare and makeup enthusiast, my passion led me to being a professionally trained Skin scientist, GUILD certified makeup artist and Curator. I have been trusting the big brands in the industry to offer the safest and highest quality cosmetics which I had without a doubt used for years. Whatever skin issues arouse, it never occurred to me to question what I was feeding my skin with. Being a Bio-Scientist by profession I decided to take the opportunity to combine my profession and passion for a purpose driven mission.
My research was focussed on Human skin interaction with synthetic chemical and physical factors at molecular level. It was an eye-opener phase of my life which made me understand, skin being the largest organ in our body, how it needed the utmost care. But, how we as consumers of cosmetics neglect skin health by being beauty conscious rather than being conscious about the beauty products we use. That’s when my journey towards conscious makeup/skincare started.
All research proved to me that for the long term, there is nothing more beneficial than using Organic/Natural cosmetics. Big brands claim that synthetic chemicals prepared in the lab are used within approved safe limits in their product (traditional Makeup/Skincare). The issue with cosmetic industry is their approach to safety assessment, as though the consumer would only be exposed to one chemical, but imagine how many products we apply in a single day e.g. Body wash, moisturizer, hair serum, deodorant, perfume, foundation, lipstick and the list goes on.
Absorbing a tiny amount of toxic ingredients into your body everyday adds up to a high volume over time. EXPOSURE ADDS UP!!! This is what M2A Organic Beauty aims to add.
Failing at finding a product for my acne flared skin, that is certified Organic/Natural, free of all controversial ingredients, synthetic and harsh chemicals was a total disappointment. What was more shocking was that brands/products that claimed Organic/Natural/sustainable in the front label had PEG’s, Alcohols, Sulfates, synthetic color, Fragrance, Paraben, Petroleum derived ingredients and the list goes on in the back label. This pushed me to create M2A Organic Beauty that is determined to develop and offer products with complete transparency of its ingredients and manufacturing processes. You could be rest assured that you have ethically sourced, sustainably formulated and manufactured, highest quality Organic/Natural product in hand. You do not have to take my word for it but see it as proof for yourself with the COSMOS logo on the product. We also take pride in formulating our products with only non-controversial (Environmental Working Group (EWG) – rating based) and Skin-friendly ingredients that your skin would be thankful for in the long-term.
